Fr. Neo, I have tickets for the 12:15am showing on opening night! Oh yeah, I live 2 hours ahead of you, so my 12:15am is your 10:15pm. I'm looking forward to it!!!
I can't wait for it. Prolly won't see it for a couple days after. I hate loud noises at the movie theatres. Star Wars opening are about as loud as they get.
I will be on a business trip in Tampa, but hope to see it alone there. I intend to see Luke baptized on Pentecost, too.
Vader could kick Neo's ass!
Newbe,
You very well could be right.
But at least Neo doesn't have ewoks and Jar Jar Binks in his world.
Father Neo,
The Force is with you, but you are not a Jedi yet. You can feel the blue pill, but you cannot control it. You were clearly too old to begin the training, and you rushed into the Matrix of the National Convention before you were ready. Now look at you. Twisted by the dark side Father Neo has become. Is there still good in you??
Gone to the dark side Father Neo has. Forever will it dominate his destiny.
Wow I can't wait either for the movie. I'll be seeing it at midnight wed. too! I really think that I have waited for this episode more than any other. To see why someone choses the evil over the good and why... I read something the other day that sparked me to ask you all, they made reference to the "virgin birth" of Anakin, as mentioned in episode 1. Does this reference Christ or the Anti Christ in our world view?
WhiTe RabBit
Perhaps Palpatine, or Obi Wan, or even Yoda is Anakin's true father. My money, however, is on Father Neo.
My beef? I prefer the primest of ribs, medium well done, if you please. As to Father Neo upholding Orthodox Tradition, well......I'm afraid I will have to agree with you. This does not mean, however, that he has not gone to the dark side. Have you ever seen him weild a life saver?
I see a problem from the git-go Coyote. Here it is: You don’t have the real cahones of a Coyote. If you did you wouldn’t even consider, much less prefer your “ribs,” as anything more than medium-rare, if not altogether rare. So your mask already betrays you. Now I for one have no problem with “rare,” nor with sparring a few rounds; hence the name Constantine. Respectful sparring has been thus far in my experience on the good Padre’s blog allowed, but you seem to be throwing punches after the bell. Am I defending the good Padre? He doesn’t need it, that I can tell you. Let me put it this way. I’m defending the padrino to one of my treasures; one of the two best arrows in my quiver. I’m sure you don’t mind all the codex speech. You seem to be quite fond of it. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Don’t tempt me to pull a verbal “Creasy” on you Coyote. I’d hate to lose my blogging privileges from Padre Neo.
All in good fun, dear Constantine. No punches after the bell. No punches at all. I am on the side on the good Father Neo all the way.
But please, don't punch below the belt. If I need to demonstrate my cajones.........let me just say I want my Death Star to be fully operational.
Coyote,
There is an undeniable reciprocity at work in the world and in our lives…but pray tell me how and why embracing our darkness would lead to healing?? The notion is nonsensical. Love will heal in His own way and time is my contention, but embracing darkness?? Healing and embracing darkness are mutually exclusive paths, polar opposites by definition. You KNOW that Coyote.
Also, let he who is without sin cast the first stone. I’m sure as hell no saint in any derivative of the word, which is the case with everyone here, even those I don’t know, so why the cryptic and lacerating comments toward Padre Neo?
Cryptic and lacerating? Cryptic maybe, but not lacerating. Just Star Wars talk.
We all have darkness in us. Embracing our darkness does not mean aaccepting it, or justifying it, but owning it. Putting our arms around it, and saying, this darkness is mine. This is the first step.
I don't know about embracing the dark side. We do need to accept the fact that it is there to begin the healing process. I think when you use the word embrace you had a diffrent meaning to what you're trying to say.
And on another note I know I don't know Padre Neo that well, if at all. As I've only read his words on the blogger. Yet he does seem Like a pretty nice guy.
Pad- I didn't really understand your post at all.
I'm out
